MadeAi, Inc., HQ in Cambridge, MA, is an affiliate of CapeStart, Inc., a 12+ year old company with a team of 600+ PhDs, MDs, PharmDs, AI/ML & Software Engineers. MadeAi was developed in partnership with three global pharma companies and has numerous pharma and medical device companies as customers. MadeAi has won multiple awards and has been featured in scientific publications and conferences.
Role Overview
The Product Specialist will play a key role in driving adoption and engagement for MadeAi across pharmaceutical, medical device, and healthcare clients. This individual will:
- Serve as a subject-matter interface between the product, sales, marketing, and technology teams.
- Deliver engaging demos and technical presentations to prospects and partners.
- Support the product roadmap by translating customer and market needs into actionable product features.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including ML engineers, software developers, and scientific experts, to ensure successful product implementation and continuous improvement.

Education/QualificationKey Responsibilities
1. Product Demonstrations & Client Engagement
- Conduct compelling live and virtual demos of MadeAi for potential and existing clients.
- Translate MadeAi capabilities into clear, value-driven business benefits.
- Gather customer feedback, identify unmet needs, and document insights to inform product enhancements.
- Support proof-of-concept (POC) and pilot project activities.
2. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop product positioning, sales enablement materials, and go-to-market content.
- Partner with the Product, ML, and Development teams to align on roadmap priorities and ensure smooth handoffs from concept to delivery.
3. Product Roadmap and Implementation Support
- Participate in roadmap planning meetings, prioritizing features based on market trends and customer feedback.
- Translate user requirements into clear product stories and specifications.
- Test new features, validate outputs, and ensure readiness before release.
- Support training and onboarding for new clients and internal teams.
4. Thought Leadership & Market intelligence
- Stay current with trends in AI, GenAI, and automation in life sciences.
- Monitor competitors and emerging technologies to support strategic planning.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in product, pre-sales, solution specialist, or related roles within the life sciences or healthcare technology domain.
- Strong life sciences background with hands-on experience in systematic literature reviews (SLR) and related use cases (preferred).
- Experience working in at least one of the following segments is required:
- HEOR & Market Access
- Medical Affairs & Scientific Communications
- Clinical Development & Regulatory
- Pharmacovigilance & Drug Safety
- Proven experience in client engagement, including requirement gathering, solution alignment, and effective stakeholder communication.
- Expertise in product demonstrations, showcasing features and value propositions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex scientific or technical concepts for diverse audiences.
